SNAP (Supernova Acceleration Probe)
is an advanced observatory
that is being proposed for the Joint Dark Energy Mission,
a collaborative venture between NASA and the Department of
Energy. SNAP is designed to determine the nature and
evolution of the mysterious dark energy which permeates the Universe
and is accelerating the cosmic expansion. This website
is for the public, educators, and learners who want to know
more about the mission and the science that will result from it.
